Mrs. Catherine is the youngest of the four puppets. It was created specifically for Helena Štáchová, who joined the theater in the 1960s and wanted to add another character to her role as Mánička. However, similar characters of chatty old women, representing Spejbl's female counterpart, appeared in some of the older plays of Josef Skupa, such as Mrs. Drbalkova, or Mrs. Svitorkova.
